| Description: | Spruce Run Association, the domestic violence resource center serving Penobscot County, Maine, currently has an opening for a Development Coordinator. Candidates should enjoy working independently in a friendly, fast-paced, collectivist setting, and have a strong commitment to ending domestic abuse. The Development Coordinator joins a dynamic team in a small, well-established nonprofit organization. The primary role of this position is to develop and manage resources that support Spruce Run. This position is responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with individual donors, volunteers, community members and groups supportive of Spruce Run and its mission. The employee will coordinate writing, reporting and evaluation of grants and seek out new sources of grant funding. Also included in the position?s tasks are coordinating Spruce Run?s community events as they relate to resource development. Experience with development and grants management is desired. Experience working with people affected by abuse and with consensus decision-making is a plus. All Coordinators participate in crisis intervention, advocacy and community response work. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $30,800 per year plus generous benefits.
