| Description: | The Office of Technology Services is looking for a Web CMS Developer to integrate data from the Towson University web presence and external resources into Towson University?s web content management system. Responsibilities: The selected candidate functions as the technical administrator for campus Content Management System (CMS) solutions and provides service level administration, integration and development of system components. The candidate will participate in the production, administration, and support of Towson?s web presence i.e. implement provided CSS page templates in a CMS, develop site skeletons, advanced page components and workflows. The position also develops web components that integrate campus data resources with the CMS through web services and API?s. XML API data integration development to and from various sources for websites is part of this position. Requirements: Candidates must have strong oral and verbal communication skills, have good problem solving skills, be a detail-oriented self-starter who is able to drive and organize multiple projects. Experience in developing XML, ASP.NET driven websites, and applied experience with web content management systems is needed for this position. Must be team oriented, analytical, and have the ability to learn new scripting languages in a timely manner. Background in website development including CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. Needs to be able to provide clear documentation of code and processes. Related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. Preferred: Bachelor?s degree and 3-5+ years of experience developing object oriented software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies in a Content Management System, applied knowledge of ColdFusion, proficient in Visual Basic .NET, ASP .NET, XML, SQL Server and experience designing and developing API?s a plus. Experience working in higher education. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
