Essential Job Functions : (Including but not
limited to)
Coordinate and supervise the construction process
from the conceptual development stage through
final construction, making sure that the project
gets done on time and within budget.
Work with all parties including Program & Project
Managers, Engineers, Architects, Laborers and
others who are involved in the construction
process to ensure effective management of project.
Determine the best way to get materials to the
building site and the most cost-effective plan and
schedule for completing the project.
Divide all required construction site activities
into logical steps, budgeting the time required to
meet established deadlines. This may require
sophisticated estimating and scheduling techniques
and use of computers with specialized software.
Oversee the selection of general contractors and
trade contractors to complete specific pieces of
the project.
Determine the labor requirements and, in some
cases, supervise or monitor the hiring and
dismissal of workers.
Oversee the performance of all trade contractors
and are responsible for ensuring that all work is
completed on schedule.
Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools,
and equipment; worker productivity and safety; and
the quality of construction.
Responsible for obtaining all necessary permits
and licenses and, depending upon the contractual
arrangements, direct or monitor compliance with
building and safety codes, other regulations, and
requirements set by the project?s insurers.
Acting as laborer with crew in carpentry,
cleanliness, safety, and other general
construction trades.
A large part of time will be focused on
maintaining safety on the job site.
All other assignments as assigned.

Job Qualifications :
Education:
BA/BS degree (construction management degree
preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Must have extended experience working on runways
or paving
30 hour OSHA certification.
Experience with civil construction
DOD experience
Scheduling experience.
Competent in M.S. Office.
5 Plus years experience in a Superintendent role
in a commercial construction environment.

Technical Skills:
General computer skills.

Working Conditions:
Bending, lifting, and carrying upwards of 50lbs.
This position will also include some in the field
experience and requires some walking, climbing,
and work on construction job sites.
Moderate levels of stress may occur.
