Women's Learning Partnership (WLP), a partnership of twenty autonomous organizations primarily in Muslim-majority countries, trains and supports women leaders and advocates for a just, peaceful world. WLP creates culturally-specific leadership trainings on democratic participation and partners with local organizations to help women gain the skills they need to fulfill greater leadership roles at the family, community and national level. Over the past decade, WLP's programs and training materials, published in twenty languages, have reached tens of thousands of women in over forty countries, strengthening local organizations to become self-sustaining and to empower women's movements across the globe. Publications Internship Description: Women's Learning Partnership (http://www.learningpartnership.org) is looking for a motivated individual to assist with coordination, distribution and tracking of WLP publications. Duties will include: -Updating and maintenance of publications inventory tracking and records system -Assisting with production and distribution of WLP publications -Assisting with review and formatting of publications -Assisting in the maintenance of the WLP website and online publications store -Providing support in coordination of publications outreach and marketing -Other tasks as assigned Requirements: -Great communication skills, both written and oral -Proficiency in Microsoft Office required -Arabic, Farsi, French, or Russian language skills a plus -Familiarity with ISBN and copyright registration processes a plus -Legally authorized to work in the US and will NOT now, nor in the future, require employer sponsorship for employment authorization (i.e. J- 1; H-1B) Education and Mentoring Plan: The intern's supervisor will work closely with him/her to co-develop a work plan by which the intern can monitor their own work, and by which his/her performance will be evaluated. The intern will have access to professionals with extensive experience in the nonprofit and IT worlds for feedback and guidance throughout the internship.
