|Description:||1.Ability to answer high volume of calls, schedule appointments, answer questions regarding services and direct calls in agency appropriately, while maintaining a pleasant, professional demeanor.
2.Ability to process on line appointment requests.
3.Utilize practice management software for multiple facets of patient data input.
4.Triages calls to medical staff as appropriate.
5.Refers callers to outside providers for services Planned Parenthood of Southern NJ does not offer.
6.Maintains patient confidentiality, adheres to federal HIPAA regulations.
7.Screens patients' financial status and confirm sliding fee scale information. Inform patients of what to bring (Medicaid, insurance card or paystub) to appointment.
8.Knowledge of insurance with regard to referrals, authorizations, co-pays, covered services, etc. Stays abreast of all systems changes.
9.Participates in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity.
10.Adheres to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time on the phone and the system for addressing patient complaints.
11.Participates in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals.
Associate degree preferred. Experience in customer relations, health care settings and providing compassionate, non-judgmental service. Knowledge of insurance with regard to referrals, authorizations, co-pays, covered services, etc. Excellent computer skills. Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills. Experience handling confidential information discreetly. Ability to multi-task, detail oriented and ability to create rapport in a short time with the public. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
