| Description: | What We Offer The Medical Services Administration Department provides management and support to Planned Parenthood of Illinois? 17 health center locations throughout the state. While PPIL provides a full range of reproductive health care services, we also offer referrals for any services that we are not able to provide. The Referral and Information Intern is responsible for meeting with staff to determine necessary updates and additions to the Information and Referral Manual - a key resource at all health centers to help clients find low-cost services not provided by PPIL. Following staff input, the intern will review, update and verify all referral services listed in the manual. It is also the intern?s responsibility to build an Excel spreadsheet with the same information as the manual. Internship highlights: - Work with clinical, managerial, and administrative staff to determine needed materials - Update and assess the need for new sections of the Information and Referral Manual - Create and update referral forms for distribution to patients - Assess and learn about non-profit agencies and services provided throughout Illinois What We Ask - Belief in and support of the Planned Parenthood mission - Background or interest in Health Administration / Public Health - Willingness to call diverse agencies and inquire about services offered - Willingness to help with other administrative tasks when necessary - Commitment of at least 10 hours a week for the summer Location PPIL Administrative Offices 18 S.
