| Description: | Description: The department has 45 sworn officers, 20 civilian employees, and excellent facilities and equipment. The Wilmette Police provide a full range of law enforcement services, responding to between 15,000 and 20,000 calls each year. Eligibility Requirements: Hold a Bachelor?s degree in any discipline at time of application (those graduating later in Spring 2013 have until June 14, 2013 to present transcripts indicating attainment of a Bachelor?s degree (current transcripts must be submitted by the application deadline). Possess a valid driver?s license. Be 21 years of age, but under 35 years of age by the application deadline (May 10, 2013). Submit proof that they have passed the Illinois POWER test within the past year as of June 1, 2013. The ability to perform the essential functions of the position of Police Officer with or without reasonable accommodation. Selection Works is managing the application process on behalf of the Wilmette Police Department. Applicants will be required to purchase the application for a nonrefundable fee of $30. |
