| Description: | Planned Parenthood of Illinois' Public Policy Department is an active member of the Chicago Female Condom Campaign (CFCC). The Chicago Female Condom Campaign is a diverse coalition of organizations working to increase awareness, access, and use of female condoms. The Chicago Female Condom Campaign Intern will work closely with Public Policy and Education staff on coalition projects while connecting the experience back to PPIL?s primary work. In particular, the intern will assess the availability of Female Condoms in Chicago pharmacies and plan a Female Condom day of action for PPIL health centers. Internship highlights: ?Develop a working knowledge of the uses and benefits of Female Condoms as well as how to effectively educate others about the product ?Conduct site visits to local condom distribution sites to determine visibility of condoms as well as knowledge and attitudes regarding Female Condoms ?Create a plan of action for Global Female Condom Day to educate and advocate for Female Condom use in PPIL Health Center waiting rooms in conjunction with Community Outreach Coordinator What We Ask -Belief in and support of the Planned Parenthood mission -Superior organizational skills -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Comfort discussing sexual health products and medically accurate uses of these products with a range of individuals including pharmacists, activists, patients, and other sexual health stakeholders -Commitment of at least 10 - 15 hours a week through the summer (Must be able to attend CFCC meetings on the 4th Friday of each month from 9:30 am -11:30 am) Location PPIL Administrative Offices 18 S.
