HUMINT TARGETING OFFICER

Primary Responsibilities: CTC is seeking qualified individuals to work with U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) that requires long-term deployment to Afghanistan. This work is designed to support U.S. Forces in the Combined Joint Operations Area Afghanistan (CJOAA). This is a multi-faceted Intelligence Analysis Support program consisting of All-Source Intelligence Analysts, Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Analysts, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analysts and Intelligence Requirements Collection Managers. Combat Intelligence Augmentation Teams (CIATs) are organized to operate as analytical and targeting teams in support of assigned military units plus other intelligence staffs and organizations. These teams are utilized for a myriad of intelligence support missions within Army Corps, Security Force Assistance Brigades (SFAB), Marine Corps and Special Operations Joint Task Forces (SOJTF) organizations.
The successful candidate shall function as part of an intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of USFOR-A's SOJTF and SFAB J2 staffs' analytical requirements. The HUMINT Targeting Officer shall be responsible for:

- Researching, developing, presenting and publishing HUMINT products at the tactical and operational level related to insurgent activities and threats to local/regional stability as part of an overall C-IED, COIN and targeting analytical team.
- Conducting analysis of raw and fused human intelligence and counterintelligence data of insurgents who are directly linked to the acquisition, production, transportation, emplacement and employment of IEDs.
- Providing input to multiple Government requirements and objectives.
- Assisting with the analysis and production of various intelligence products specifically focused on the C-IED mission set and supplies analytical support for senior Military leaders.
- Attending meetings and conduct comprehensive research on complex topics independently or as a part of a larger analytical effort focusing on force protection and threat-related current events and long-term trends that could impact the supported unit's mission.
- HUMINT analysis related to threat awareness, force protection, Indications and Warnings (I&W), mission planning, target development, damage assessment and counterterrorism in the AOR and Afghanistan in general.

Basic Qualifications:

?BS Degree plus 0-2 years of directly-related experience, or equivalent mid-level military enlisted, or company grade officer experience.
?4 years analytical experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with HUMINT experience preferred. Experience in either IED/C-IED, CT, South West Asia regional issues and HUMINT, CI or military analysis desired.
?Proficiency in the use of basic intelligence computer applications and intelligence related automation, including MS Office Product Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word) to support analytical efforts and product development.
?Strong research and writing skills and a capability to effectively operate as a member of a strategic-level analytical team in the accomplishment of assessments of sources and their reporting through the corroboration of source reporting, analytic feedback, quality assurance and the development of HUMINT and intelligence products and assessments.
?Requires former 35L/M, 351L/M, 180A, 18F, 35D/35E, 1N, 35F, 350F, 18F, 35A, 34A or equivalent.
?Prior experience utilizing Advanced Source Operations Management System (ASOMS).

Selected applicant shall complete INSCOM-provided Deployable Common Ground Station-Army (DCGS-A) training, a 5-day block of instruction that familiarizes the individual with the DCGS-A interface, data input, analysis and reporting tools. Selected applicant shall also complete 5-day Afghanistan Threat Orientation at NGIC, Charlottesville. Total duration: 10 days.

Clearance: U.S. citizenship required. U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
