Center Background: The Center for Reproductive Rights is a non-profit legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive freedom as a fundamental right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill. The Center engages in cutting-edge impact litigation, policy analysis, advocacy, research, and public education throughout the world, to achieve women?s equality in society and to ensure that all women have access to appropriate and freely chosen reproductive health services.

Position Summary: The Center's Administration, Finance & Information Technology (IT) departments are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly organized intern with a commitment to reproductive rights issues to engage in a variety of mini-projects related to our office administration, finance, human resources and information technology. This internship will provide someone with experience in many aspects of office administration as well as insight into the inner working of organizational management and events planning.

The internship is full-time, between June 03, 2013 through August 09, 2013. Interns are encouraged to seek outside funding for their internship. This internship is eligible for a small stipend if outside funding cannot be obtained.

The Center's summer internship program includes opportunities for lunches with experts in the field, social events, networking opportunities with other organizations, and other activities.

Here are some of the projects / responsibilities you would have as an intern:

Administration / Human Resources
?Assist with the intern program
?Assist with special projects and events coordination, i.e. summer intern career panel ?Assist with researching venues for the Centers annual staff retreat ?Tweak the Center's alumni database ?Learn the benefit of different job posting sites, and posting open positions ?Participate in the varied aspects of recruitment ?Organize new hire material ?Set up new hire meetings ?Learn about and assist with the annual performance appraisal process


Finance
?Become familiar with SharePoint software and upload financial information ?Clean-up SharePoint site ?Prepare audit documents ?Draft confirmation letters ?Assist with PRF/ finance document sampling ?Tag the 1099 vendor information in Financial Edge (will train on this software) ?Assist with ACH vendor notification/receipt confirmation

Information Technology
?Conduct research on hardware and software ?Analyze latest laptop models - compare different ipad / iphone apps for work, meetings etc.
?Handle the implementation of basic surveys ? obtain information on how end-users use software etc.

Skills Desired & Requirements
?To be eligible for this internship, the candidate must be enrolled in a college or university; Bachelors or Masters candidate on a full-time basis for the Fall 2013 semester.
?Interest in Office Administration, Human Resources or Management or related area is a plus ?Ability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed ?Must have exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal presentation skills.
?Must be able to maintain and protect confidentiality ?Prior internship of office experience preferred ?Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a growing group ?Proficiency with Microsoft Office
