Job Title: Director of LGBTQ Resource Center

Description: A major role of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer (LGBTQ) Resource Center is to provide resources and develop programs focusing on issues related to LGBTQ and intersectionality for faculty members, staff, students and allies. The Director reports to the Office of the Provost and is a part of the Academic Affairs division. The Director is responsible for the management and coordination of the LGBTQ Resource Center to carry out its mission. The Director develops and administers a variety of educational and cultural initiatives to increase awareness in the University community and to help create a supportive and inclusive campus climate. The Director serves as an advocate, educator, and leader of LGBTQ related issues, servicing undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, staff and the larger Oshkosh community. Opportunities for teaching may be a part of this position. QUALIFICATIONS:
? Master's Degree
? Knowledge of LGBTQ and gender issues
? Understands the purpose and function of a LGBTQ Resource Center within the university setting ? Budget management skills ? Knowledge of the culture of higher education ? Ability to plan, develop, organize, and direct the programs related to the mission of the LGBTQ Resource Center ? Ability to practice effective communication skills both verbally and written ? Ability to supervise interns and staff ? Ability to collaborate with faculty members, staff, students ? Effective advocacy skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:
? Ph.D.
? Experience working with initiatives and programs at a LGBTQ Center ? University level teaching

Terms of Appointment: Half-time annual academic staff fixed-term appointment

Starting Date: July 1, 2013
