| Description: | The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of VIP's residential programs and services, which includes the Morivivi and the Casa Sandra programs. ? Morivivi is an emergency/crisis shelter for battered women and their children and consists of a total of 51 beds within 8 scattered safe dwelling sites. ? Casa Sandra is a supportive housing program for social change for battered women and their children and is located in a newly constructed 15 unit facility. Essential Functions: Provide leadership through direct supervision and support to the Program Managers Establish goals, expectations, and a clear vision with Program Managers Review, revise and/or create structures for efficiency and proper client services, using the Trauma Inform Care and Client centered approach Ensure that the programs and services are in compliance with the contractual obligations and mandates Work with the Program Managers to develop and maintain a comprehensive network of supportive services Maintain a visible presence in the communities VIP serves and have an active leadership role in policy issues related to shelter services on a city and state level Maintain regular contact with the Deputy Director and report all program findings Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff Support and comply with the values and policies of the Violence Intervention Program Attend and participate in regularly scheduled agency and program meetings including supervision sessions with the residential program managers, case conferences, agency-wide staff meetings, development meetings and others as needed Provide VIP Hotline coverage as needed, this includes but is not limited to on-call evening/weekend coverage Capacity building in all areas of the agency-demonstrating competency with incorporating financial literacy in the performance of their responsibilities Additional Qualifications: MA/MS degree in a related field A minimum of five (5) years experience managing, coordinating and developing programs including directly supervising counselors, social workers, case managers and/or direct service staff. Fully bilingual required (English/Spanish) Experience working with shelters and/or safe dwellings, Supportive Housing Program (SHP), Department of Homelessness (DHS), Human Resources Administration (HRA) contracts and TANF eligibility preferred. Must have the ability to operate office equipment such as computers, copy machine, fax machine, phone systems, etc. with strong internet and software skills; incl. Microsoft Office and client database. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Must be knowledgeable in working with diverse communities, particularly Latino, people of color, and low income population and deliver culturally competent services. Must be well organized, assertive, work independently and collectively, while maintaining a flexible schedule. Flexible schedule is required to meet the needs of the programs incl. evenings and weekends Must be able to exercise good judgment and sensitivity at all times.
