| Description: | NetCentrics is looking for a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer to engineer and enhance the Enterprise Infrastructure of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). This position is only open to U.S. Citizens with an active DOD security clearance. Secret is required and Top Secret or higher is preferred. We are looking for a subject matter expert on Microsoft Server based systems and VMware Technologies. You will be working with a team of subject matter experts from a number of IT disciplines to work on projects and development efforts within the OSD network. These engineers will all be experts on various facets of the environment including Infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange, Database, Internal and External applications, IT Security, VMware Technologies and more. They will be interfacing with you and will need your support. Responsibilities include: -Manage a large and complex VMware environment -Document designs, development plans and operations procedures -Communicate directly with customers and the project management team to provide high level end user support -Understand and document new requirements as well as communicate and accurately estimate level of effort and schedule The position will require a flexible schedule as testing and upgrades may require work outside of normal business hours to minimize impact to the operational environment. Qualifications: -A Microsoft Technical Certification required (MCP, MCSA, MCTS, MCSE, or MCITP) -Demonstrable history managing a large and complex VMware environments -CompTIA Security+ or Security+ CE certification required, or ability to obtain the certification within the first 6 months of employment -Demonstrated history of documenting designs, development plans, operations procedures for large complicated engineering projects -Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines and delivering results -Demonstrated history of navigating complex environments and delivering results in spite of communications challenges -Demonstrated history of communicating directly with customers and the capability to provide high level end user support -This position is open only to candidates with an active DOD security clearance Additional Desired Skills -VMware VCP and/or VCAP certification -Knowledge of Best Practices for the design of Secure IT Environments NetCentrics Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V). |
