CTC has an opportunity for a qualified Technician III in Johnstown, PA. TECHNICIAN III Primary Responsibilities: The qualified candidate must be proficient in, 3D CNC programming (Gibbs or a related software package), CNC machining and inspection of machined parts. The applicant must be capable of making his own set-ups on multiple, simple, easy-to-machine parts (including common mechanical test specimens) to single, one-of-a-kind, complex prototypes made from a variety of materials (including alloys of steel, high-strength steel, aluminum, nickel, copper, titanium and exotic materials). Experience with machining and inspection of the finished parts is also required. The successful applicant must also be capable of providing technical and operational assistance to apprentice machine tool operators and be able and willing to share ideas and discuss machining/inspection options with engineering and design staff. The candidate must have prior operational experience on manual milling machines, manual lathes, surface grinders, CNC machining centers, optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines. Basic Qualifications: -Four-year machining or tool and die journeyperson apprenticeship program or an Associate of Science Degree in Machining or a related field. -A minimum of ten years of work experience in high-quality, results-driven manufacturing machining environment. -Proficient in 3D CNC programming (Gibbs or a related software package), CNC machining and inspection of machined parts. -Cooperative, flexible, willing to learn and be able to work in a team environment.
