Job Title: Community Organizer

Our door-to-door community organizers are essential to affecting grassroots change in our communities. Our canvass runs year round because we need to be fighting for reproductive rights every day. To protect these rights, we are creating an organized pro-choice majority.

Job Description:
The community organizer's job is being in the field knocking on doors to have direct engagement with members of our community. Half the day is spent going door-to-door talking to people about pro-choice issues and fundraising. The other half of the day is spent on skills training and briefings on pro-choice issues.

This grassroots work is what keeps Washington a leader in reproductive rights.

Those who are passionate about abortion rights and wants to take action.

Those interested in learning about working in the nonprofit sector.

People interested in honing the organizing skills it takes to affect lasting change.

This is an entry-level position. We do not recommend relocating for this position.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm
Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Full-time is M-F 1:30pm-10pm; part-time is 3 or 4 of these days with the same hours. For part-time work the days are flexible, but the hours are the
same.

While we will be working on targeted issues throughout the year, this is not a seasonal position. The position is needed year-round to maintain a mobilized base.

We offer both health insurance and dental coverage for full-time employees. Sick and vacation pay.

Comprehensive training program:
Our training program lasts from 2-4 weeks and is paid. Participants will gain within this time the skills necessary to be professional issue organizers and fundraisers. We are also committed to promoting from within the organization.
