Job Title: Executive Director
Organization: New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault
Region: East Coast
Description: The New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault(NJCASA) seeks an executive director to lead our vital organization into its next stage of development and success. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall management of NJCASA. This includes full financial management, strategic planning, program implementation, and support of the coalition program member agencies. We seek a dynamic and capable leader who will set an example of excellence as Executive Director.

NJCASA provides a statewide voice for survivors of sexual assault and the 21 county-based sexual violence programs (plus Rutgers University) that serve them. NJCASA's staff of five full time and four part time people undertake the following programs from its offices in Mercer County, NJ:

- Advocacy for survivor-centered policies and legislation;
- Training and education for sexual violence programs, law enforcement, and allied professionals; and
- Prevention programs equipping teens and adults with skills to prevent sexual violence before it occurs.

Highlights of NJCASA's success include:

- Produced a training DVD entitled "A First Impression is a Lasting One," that provides training to law enforcement responders to sexual assault which is being lauded as a model program and is used around the country.
- Our Sexual Violence Prevention training programs reach over 75,000 students and community members each year.
- Our member agencies and their trained Advocates respond to over 12,000 survivors of sexual assault each year.
- Successful legislative advocacy to protect State funding for Sexual Violence response programs.

The individual selected to lead NJCASA will encounter both opportunities and challenges. The most pressing need will be aggressive fundraising to help stabilize and secure NJCASA's future. Our annual 5k walk raises more than $30,000 from over 700 donors. Our fundraising needs are great, but we see many opportunities to substantially increase fundraised income through improved donor cultivation and a more external focus. The new Executive Director will also lead the strategic planning process for NJCASA's future, helping the Board determine how best to continue to serve our member agencies. This will include a growing reliance on partnerships and collaborations with agencies that share elements of our mission.
