Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and was named one of "America's 100 Best Charities" by Worth magazine. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotlines (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country. The hotlines have helped more than 1.4 million people since 1994. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. Connecticut Sexual
Assault Crisis Services (CONNSACS)
CONNSACS serves as a national clearinghouse for information
and resources for victims of sexual assault, as well as
a statewide resource for residents of Connecticut. Counseling

The Comforter Network
The Comforter Network has been formed to increase public awareness about
the reality of sexual abuse and to make comforters to be donated to shelters
which help survivors of sexual abuse.
Communities Against Violence Network
(CAVNET)
CAVNET is a comprehensive, searchable database for information about violence
against women. They have articles on everything from welfare reform and
domestic violence to violence against immigrant women to Rohypnol, the
"date rape drug" to legal information and statistics.
Connecticut Sexual Assault
Crisis Services, Inc. (CONNSACS)
This site serves as a statewide network of individual sexual assault crisis
centers and provides access to programs working to end sexual violence
through victim assistance, community education, and public policy advocacy.

This organization of consultants, researchers, speakers, and resources
for legal and medical advocates, writers, the media, students, and concerned
campus and community members provides research and accepts data and information
