Mexico City (1975)

Declare 1975-1985 the LJN Decade for Women and Development

National and international government bodies should give high priority to bringing women into the development process

Endorse the Intemational Development Strategy for the Second LTN Development Decade

Increase women's participation in planning and implementation of United Nations Development and Population programs

Banks and assistance programs should give priority to development programs that aid women

Improve housing and neighborhood conditions to meet standards of human dignity and to reflect women's, children's, and the entire family's needs

Increase the participation of rural women in national development.

Provide special training for rural girls and women in economic and social development



Houston (1977)

Implement United States legislation aimed at integrating women in development

Promote involvement of women in determining their own needs and priorities in development programs

Study the impact of United States aid on developing countries



Copenhagen (1980)

Pass legislation to protect women and improve their working conditions in both formal and informal sectors
