March 2003 - In celebration of International Women's Day, March 8th, women leading the fight against HIV and AIDS will participate in a series of live online chats throughout the month of March. These women have fought the battles against this truly global epidemic in the tall grass of Africa, the grassroots of the U.S.A., international policy arenas and the streets of New York, Philadelphia and beyond.

Learn from them about effective prevention and treatment programs in America and abroad; what's being done to leverage more resources from wealthy nations to fight AIDS around the world; how stigmatization and disempowerment can compound the disease's ferocity; the status of the quest for a vaccine; the way the disease is impacting women in particular in the developing world; and what it's like to live with AIDS--and to raise a child with AIDS.
