Advice for future interns: Come ready to take on anything. The interns who were willing to go outside of their comfort zone got MANY more opportunities than those who waited for assignments to come to them. Don’t be afraid to be pushy, I am embarrassed that I was for too long, and regret not telling my supervisors I was interested in attending more events. FMF has a lot of great connections, and if you get on the good side of your advisors, you will get to take advantage of those connections.
Favorite experience at FMF: Staff meetings were great, hill visits were very exciting.

What does feminism mean to you?: Equality amongst the sexes; economically, socially, and politically. Being a feminist is acting on the inherent NEED to create this equality.
Favorite quote/personal quote: "The Republican National Committee announced today that the Republican Party is changing its emblem from an elephant to a condom. The committee chairman explained that the condom more clearly reflects the party's stance today, because a condom accepts inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually getting screwed"
Favorite places in DC: Georgetown, in front of the national monument at night, kayaking on the Potomac
Future plans: In the immediate future, I am going to study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the spring. I will, undoubtedly be working with a group that deals with women’s issues. Potentially work with UNESCO, or some sort of international education. I have the rest of my life to figure it out right?
