Growing up with a large Irish family surrounded by amazing female role models inspired me to fight for the equality many of them will never enjoy in their lifetimes.

Hometown: New York, New York
College: Williams College, Undeclared
FMF Projects: Girls Learn International, Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, National Young Feminist Leadership Conference
Why are you a feminist: Because somehow "the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities" is a controversial idea feminists still have to defend.
Favorite spot in DC: Capitol Hill
Favorite Memory: It would have to be a tie between going to the Commission on the Status of Women at the UN and hearing Hillary Clinton speak and watching the confirmation vote of Loretta Lynch as the new Attorney General from the Senate Gallery. I mean, how could you pick between those two?
Advice for future FMF interns: It's a great office environment, so just be friendly and take initiative and you'll do great!
