Security Alert: New Anthrax Threats Received at Clinics

Clinics in Wichita, Kansas; Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Watertown, New York have received white business sized envelopes containing a white powder. Preliminary tests by FBI on the substance from one of the letters has been negative for anthrax; a full analysis is being conducted.

For your security, please adhere to the following procedures for opening any suspicious mail:

SUSPICIOUS MAIL IS ANY MAIL WITH STRANGE SUBSTANCES (LIQUID, POWDER, ETC.), NO RETURN ADDRESS, FROM AN UNFAMILIAR SENDER, POSTMARK DIFFERS FROM CITY OF RETURN ADDRESS, INAPPROPRIATE POSTAGE (TOO MANY STAMPS), WIRES/SPRINGS, ANYTHING PROTRUDING FROM ENVELOPE. IF YOU RECEIVE ANY SUCH MAIL

DO NOT OPEN IT!!
IF ALREADY OPENED, IMMEDIATELY CLOSE THE ENVELOPE, PUT ON A PAIR OF GLOVES, AND PLACE THE ENVELOPE IN A ZIP LOCK BAG.
WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER.
