Synopsis

Would repeal affirmative action requirements concerning minorities and women at state agencies, school districts, and community college districts. Would prohibit any public officer or employee from giving any preferences on the basis of race, sex, color ethnicity or national origin to any person for hiring or promotional purposes, except that socioeconomic factors may be considered when evaluating applicants for entry level jobs.
