Voter Registration, Sexual Assault Information on Feminist Majority On-Line

The Feminist Majority's award-winning Internet site, , has several new features for the spring.

A brand-new Voter Registration Center shatters the myths surrounding college students voting; features information on the National Voter Registration Act; answers frequently asked questions about voter registration; provides a printable copy of the new mail-in voter registration form; and links to other Internet-accessible information such as an index of registration and election information by state.

April, sexual assault awareness month, brings information about events and resources related to ending sexual assault. And the Affirmative Action section educates site visitors about attacks on affirmative action around the country, and allows student volunteers to sign up for Freedom Summer '96 to help defeat the deceptive California Civil Rights Initiative.

The job listings, feminist calendar, and feminist faculty network sections continue to grow. The "Daily Feminist News" is one of the most popular sections of the site. Our "Urgent Action" section allows site visitors to automatically send e-mail or fax messages to the President, members of Congress, as well as businesses and the media.

The site also provides access to back issues of the Feminist Majority Report, Feminist Majority press releases, and other publications. A large mediated list of women's sites on the internet allows educated feminist "surfing." Our site receives an average of 14,000 hits per day.
