Christmas is a time for giving, and thirteen of the world's top alternative acts have contributed their radical musical interpretations o f the holiday spirit to O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL an album benefiting Rock For Choice, an organization created -- as stated in the liner notes for the album -- "to mobilize music fans and the music community to stand up for reproductive freedom , encourage voter registration and provide a new platform for pro-choice voices to be heard."

On board for O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL: ROCK FOR CHOICE are-Henry Rollins (doing an eerie reading of Clement Moore's "'Twas The Night Before Christ mas" with sound effects by Joe Cole); Dance Hall Crashers (confessing a flirtation with Santa in "I Did It For The Toys"); Sponge (gleaning the meaning of the holidays in a society in chaos on "ChristmasDay"); Juliana Hatfield (incorporating the melodic s trains of "O Come All Ye Faithful" into her ballad "Make It Home"); Shudder To Think (performing the traditional "Al Hanisim"); Wool (deploying the "Award Winning WOOL Children's Choir" on the ironic "Xmas It's Christmas"); Bush (merging "GoodKing Wencesl as" with strains of "Hey Joe" on "Good King Something or other");Luscious Jackson (finding hip-hop in Bethlehem on "Queen Of Bliss"); MikeWitt and the Crew of the Flying Saucer (pounding out a percussive kinda Christmas on "The Little Drummer Boys"); the Presidents of the United States of America (warbling a spirited new holiday sing-a-long "Christmas Piglet"); Cranes (singing the timeless John Lennon-Yoko Ono seasonal classic "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)"); face to face (updating Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas"); and Deep Forest and Wes Madiko (shining an ambient seasonal light on "Nemene").
