A FEW SIMPLE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO KEEP ABORTION LEGAL

Well, of course we're going to tell you being involved with a Rock for Choice show is a great way to start, but there are a few other simple things that can be done on your spare time that can help secure this freedom. Please remember the majority of folks in our country believe it's no one's business but the gals' what they do with their own bodies. The controversy stems from two sources: (1)Lawmakers who are either toadying up to special interest groups or pushing their own personal agendas, and (2) radical right wing groups who believe they can shove their personal/religious views down our throats.

KNOWLEDGE IS A POWERFUL THING
Keep up with current pro-choice news. Read the paper, get on a pro-choice mailing list (i.e. the FEMINIST MAJORITY's, NOW, NARAL or a local group). Then talk about these issues with others.

REGISTER to VOTE and register as Ms.
Politicians do what they can to keep their popularity up. They use demographics to make their decisions, and putting Ms. before your name is telling them you believe women should receive equal opportunities and you are pro-choice. Guys can do this too.

CIRCULATE A PETITION
The Feminist Majority has plenty, have them mailed to you and get friends to sign or post them in coffee shops, local clubs, etc. Just mail them back when they're full.

CALL or WRITE LAWMAKERS
Politicians figure for each person that bothers to communicate, 10 more feel the same. If you encourage 9 other friends to do the same, that's 100 like thinkers. Anti-abortionists use this method and look how far those freaks have gotten. Use our contact Congress section to find contact information for members of Congress.

GET INVOLVED LOCALLY
If women's health clinics are being picketed or blockaded in your area, volunteer your time to help escort patients into the office. Contact a local pro-choice organization or call the clinic directly.

PUT ON YOUR OWN R4C SHOW
