Adopt-a-Clinic

Contact your local reproductive health care clinic and find out how your group can help support them. By "adopting" a local women's health clinic, your group can galvanize community-wide support and resources critical to reducing the violence and terror against abortion clinics and the harassment and intimidation of doctors and clinic staff. The assistance you can provide includes legal observing, serving as clinic escorts, helping with office work, mobilizing public opinion against protesters, and working with community leaders to support and increase law enforcement/response to anti-abortion violence. Contact your local clinic and a member of the Campus Team at 1-866-444-FMLA to get started today!

Feminist Majority Foundation President Eleanor Smeal and Foundation National Coordinator Kathy Spillar face off with Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry at Melbourne, Florida clinic.

Action Tips

Do your research first! Remember, informed action is the most effective action. See Resources and the Roe v. Wade Fact Sheet for further research.

Arrange for campus and/or local press to cover your event. For information on how to effectively work with the press, click here.

Use every action to recruit members for your organization or campus group. Have an information table and sign-in sheets to collect contact information, as well as flyers announcing the time and location of your next meeting. Then follow-up!
