Dee Martin returned to the Feminist Majority Foundation to serve on its Board after beginning her career with FMF in 1994, where she worked as a National Programs Associate for nearly five years.  Today, Dee practices law at Bracewell LLP, currently serving as a partner and co-head of the Policy Resolution Group, the Firm’s government relations and strategic communications section.  Dee represents clients before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies, developing and implementing policy and media strategies that achieve her clients’ goals. For her work, Dee has been named a “Top Lobbyist” by The Hill (2017-2019); “Champion of PR” by PRWeek (2017); a “Top 40 Under 40 Lobbyist” by Washingtonian Magazine (2011); a “Female Powerbroker” by Law360 (2014); a “Champion” by the Legal Times (2011); and a “Women Who Mean Business Awardee” by the Washington Business Journal (2011). She has also received national media attention as a founder of Minute Mentoring®, a women’s leadership program that has reached thousands of women nationwide. Deeply committed to achieving equality for all women, Dee has served on the Board of a DC organization dedicated to empowering homeless women to transform their lives through housing, health, education, and employment services.  At Bracewell, her pro bono efforts include assisting young women escaping persecution by global terrorist organizations. In recognition of this important work, she was honored with the “Unlikely Heroes Legacy Award” (2016). Dee also represents pro bono The Trevor Project, the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention organization, on matters including establishing a national three digit dialing code for suicide prevention and enacting a federal ban on conversion therapy. Dee holds her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.S. from the University of Central Arkansas.
